If
you want to keep your domain registration with your
existing registrar, such as Network Solutions or Register.com
but host your web site with us that is fine. All you
need to do is tell the Domain Name System
(DNS) of the new location of your web site. You initiate
this by changing the name server information in your
registrar's database. This will inform the world that
your web site can now be found on a Web
Solutions' server.

1)
Contact
your registrar either through their web site or with
an e-mail message and change the Name Server information.
Follow the instructions at your registrar to change
to the following Web
Solutions designations:
|
| |
|
Web
Solutions' Name Servers
|
IP
Address
|
|
ns1.secure.net
|
192.220.124.10
|
|
ns2.secure.net
|
192.220.125.10
|
|
| |
2)
Subsequent
to informing your domain name registrar that you are
moving your web site to another hosting provider,
you may receive an authorization request via e-mail.
Follow the instructions in the each correspondence
carefully. Once the name server change has been accepted
by your registrar, all the ISPs around the world will
need to update their name servers. This update process
occurs automatically on a regular basis and can take
up to 24-48 hours before everyone can see your new
web site location. In the meantime, proceed with step
3.
|
| |
3)
During
or before the name server transfer request has been
initiated or completed you will want to have your
entire web site copied to your new location on a Web
Solutions' server. Contact support@websoa.com
for login and password details.
